Brittany Mahomes shares heartfelt message for daughter Sterling as she gets closer to having a second child

Brittany Mahomes and Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes are expecting their second child very soon. It has been a captivating journey for both of them, but Brittany has not forgotten Sterling Skye, their first child and soon-to-be elder daughter.

She penned a tribute to Sterling as their family looks to expand. It can be a struggle for an older sibling to adjust to this kind of change and Brittany wants to be sure that her daughter feels valued. Once she grows up and looks back on it, it is sure to make her feel her mother's love. She posted what her daughter meant to her on Instagram, writing:

"As we embark on the last several weeks of this baby girl being my only child, I can only think of how thankful I am to be her mama!"

Brittany further followed that up by appreciating how much she has taught her and helping her figure out what truly matters:

"Sterling Skye, you have taught me so much about life. Peace, patience, to be present and truly only spend your time on what matters!"

She concluded that she would never take her daughter for granted, even though she might have another child to look after:

"You my girl are my everything & I will never take this life with you for granted!"

When is Brittany Mahomes expecting her second child?

Brittany Mahomes is expecting her second child in early 2023. At a gender reveal party, they revealed that their new addition to the family is expected to be a boy.

This will be their first child together for the Mahomes since they got married earlier this year. As much as the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback has seen success on the field, this year is turning out to be momentous in every way. Losing in the AFC Championship game to Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals last season must have been tough. However, having so many highlights off the field makes up for it.

With a new addition to the family, Brittany and her husband will have their hands full. Juggling the responsibilities will be a challenge, but having a daughter at home has never fazed Patrick Mahomes before. Having a wife like Brittany certainly makes everything much easier as well.
