Last week, the Indianapolis Colts announced that their star quarterback Anthony Richardson will not participate in the minicamps. The 23-year-old is currently dealing with a shoulder injury. Richardson visited a doctor in LA to get his AC joint rechecked, and currently, there is no timeline for his return.

NFL insider Kent Sterling tweeted a video of Anthony Richardson training on his own on the sidelines on Thursday.

Former NFL scout believes Anthony Richardson's career has a good chance of ending

It is safe to say that after two anticlimactic years in the NFL, this is not the offseason Anthony Richards hoped for. Richards has failed to deliver results in the big leagues. That could be the reason the Colts brought in Daniel Jones with a one-year, $14, million deal (per spotrac). Former NFL scout John Middlekauff believes that his move could put the 23-year-old's career at Indianapolis in jeopardy.

"Shane Steichen said that they’re going to split the reps evenly throughout OTAs, give or take 170 snaps each for Daniel Jones and Anthony Richardson," Middlekauff said on his "3 and Out" podcast on Friday. "And my first reaction was: I think Anthony Richardson's career in Indy has a very good chance of ending."

"Because I would bet on Daniel Jones beating him out. And I’m not pro–Daniel Jones, don’t think he’s good either, but I’ve seen this song and dance before."

With the shoulder injury and an uncertain timeline for a return, it'll be interesting to see what the future holds for Richardson.
