Buffalo Bills tight end Dalton Kincaid could have a breakout year in Week 2, despite a slow start in Week 1. The second-year tight end recorded one reception for 11 yards on two targets in the team's 34-28 victory against the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday.
Kincaid was the first tight end selected in the first round of the 2023 NFL draft and was one of the top rookie tight ends last season. He had the second-most receptions (73) and yards (673) among rookie tight ends, only behind Detroit Lions tight end Sam LaPorta (88 receptions and 889 yards).
The Bills have one of the better tight-end duos in the league with Dawson Knox on the opposite side of Kincaid. Knox is in his sixth season with the Bills and seems to have taken a lesser role in the passing game since Kincaid's arrival. Knox is only two seasons removed from his Pro Bowl season in 2022 and recorded 23 yards on one reception in Sunday's game.

According to Fantasy SP, Dalton Kincaid's Fantasy trade value in Week 2 is 17.3, which ranks him as the seventh-highest tight end and 85th overall. Baltimore Ravens Mark Andrews' value is slightly higher at 17.44 and San Francisco 49ers George Kittle is just below Kincaid at 17.24.
Bills quarterback Josh Allen did not target a single receiver or tight end more than five times on Sunday. As he adjusts to his new receiving group, he might find a favorite or two soon, and one of them could be Kincaid.
Should you trade Dalton Kincaid?
It's simply too early to move on from Dalton Kincaid in Fantasy Football. There's a reason he was the only tight end selected in the first round of the 2023 NFL draft, so there's potential.
According to analyst Jared Smola, Kincaid had the sixth-highest route rate among tight ends in Week 1 but just a 9% share. Kincaid also played 83% of the Bills' snaps on Sunday.
Kincaid was on the field more than most tight ends across the NFL in Week 1, he just didn't get many targets. That should change as the season continues.
According to Sportskeeda's "Who should I start?" tool, Kincaid is in for a big game this week, with 12.4 fantasy points against the Miami Dolphins.
