Green Bay Packers traded Davante Adams to the Las Vegas Raiders last season. Despite the Raiders' poor results in the last campaign, Adams yet again was able to have a great season.
After having played with Aaron Rodgers since the start of his career, Adams got the opportunity to play with Derek Carr last year, until the former Raiders quarterback was benched.
Davante Adams recently made an appearance on the I Am Athlete podcast and talked about Rodgers' successor in Green Bay. The former Packers receiver has high expectations from Jordan Love since the former Utah State quarterback is now finally the starting quarterback of the franchise.
Here's what Adams said about Jordan Love:
"I'm excited for him, man, I know, he's excited. From what I've heard from some of the other guys, you know, Alan's been around and he said his whole demeanor has started to shift more towards you know, because part of it is you don't want to be too assertive as a leader.
"When you have a guy like Aaron in the building, who's obviously the leader of the team, you know, you don't want to ruffle any feathers out of just respect. So he's turned into more of a leader now and I mean, he's got some talent, so I'm definitely excited for him.
"Me leaving that nothing to do with the fact that he was the successor. It was it was more so about, you know, all the all the other stuff that went into it. That's not important, but I'm really excited for him. He's a good really good kid."
Last season, Jordan Love made an appearance in the game against the Philadelphia Eagles, and he looked quite confident. With Aaron Rodgers now traded away to the New York Jets, this is Love's opportunity to show that he can carry the legacy of the four-time NFL MVP.
Although Davante Adams is no longer a Packer, he has confidence in Love to become a great player and make players around him better as well, just like Aaron Rodgers did.
