"Davante Adams come back home" - Packers fans urge WR to return to Aaron Rodgers and Green Bay after Raiders bench Derek Carr

Davante Adams to the Green Bay Packers?

Davante Adams joined the Las Vegas Raiders from the Green Bay Packers in a blockbuster trade in the offseason to reunite with his college teammate Derek Carr and secure a long-term extension that made him one of the highest-paid wide receivers in the league.

He has been productive on the field and has registered 88 catches for 1,290 yards with 11 touchdown catches. But the Raiders haven't benefitted much from Adams' exploits, as they sit on 6-9 and are out of the race for a playoff spot.

On Wednesday, Las Vegas head coach Josh McDaniels announced that the team would bench Carr and start Jarrett Stidham for their final two games of the regular season and hinted that the franchise would move on from the franchise cornerstone in the offseason.

Adams likely won't be pleased with this development and could consider his options in the offseason. One fanbase is already pitching to the wide receiver to join them for the 2023 season.

Packers fans have bombarded social media with messages for Adams, imploring him to return to Green Bay next year:

Will the Packers trade for Davante Adams?

The Packers traded Davante Adams to Las Vegas for the Raiders' first- and second-round picks in the 2022 NFL draft. With his partner in crime, Aaron Rodgers has struggled all season and hasn't hidden his frustration with the team's young wide receivers.

If the Raiders fail to land a big-name quarterback, Adams might look to move on from Las Vegas, and the Packers could prove to be an ideal destination for the former All-Pro wide receiver. Rodgers will get his favorite weapon back, who will instantly elevate the offense, and the wide receiver will play in a system catered to maximize his ability.

It's unclear whether the Packers will pull the trigger on a deal to bring back Davante Adams. The Raiders star will have no shortage of suitors who will be happy to part ways with a first-round pick or more to land him. But a return to the Packers should not be ruled out.
