ABOUT

Aaron Rodgers who plays for the Green Bay Packers, is an American football quarterback of the National Football League (NFL). Born on December 2, 1983, Rodgers is considered one of the greatest to ever play the position. He led the Packers to the 2011 Super Bowl championship.

Rodgers played college football for the California Golden Bears of UC, Berkeley, where he set several career passing records, including lowest single-season and career interception rates. In the 2005 NFL Draft, he was selected in the first round by the Packers. Rodgers became the Packers' starting quarterback in 2008, and in 2010, he earned the Super Bowl MVP as he led the Packers to victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers. Rodgers was awarded a six-year, $65 million contract extension, and in 2009 his stellar passing continued as he threw for 4,434 yards and 30 touchdowns while leading the Packers to an 11–5 record and a playoff berth. He is the only NFL player ever who in his first two years as a starter was able to achieve consecutive 4,000-yard passing campaigns. Nicknamed ‘A-Rod’, in 2011 he was named Associated Press Athlete of the Year, and was voted league MVP by the Associated Press for the 2011, 2014 and 2020 NFL seasons.

Rodgers has led the NFL in total touchdowns (2011, 2016, 2020) and twice in touchdown passes (2016, 2020). With a regular season career passer rating of over 100 (the first to ever have a career rating over), he is third on the NFL's all-time regular season career passer rating list. He also holds the highest passer rating, the best touchdown to interception ratio and the lowest passing interception percentage in NFL history throughout the entire 2010s decade.

Rodgers was limited to playing just seven games of the 2017 season due to a broken collarbone. His absence led to the end of the Packers’ eight-year playoff streak. A revamped Packers squad won 13 games in 2019 with a coaching change, as Rodgers threw for 4,002 yards and 26 touchdowns. In the following postseason, Green Bay won its first playoff game but lost to the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC championship game.

He has 3 NFL Most Valuable Player awards, 3 All-Pro selections, 9 Pro Bowl selections and the 2011 Bert Bell Award (Player of the Year) to his name.
