Davante Adams' recent social media activity hints at Raiders WR desperately wanting to return to Green Bay

Could Adams want a return to Green Bay?

They say the grass isn't always greener on the other side and Davante Adams is finding that out the hard way. After swapping the Green Bay Packers for the Las Vegas Raiders in the offseason in a blockbuster move, the year hasn't gone the way Adams or the Raiders had hoped.

Sitting at 6-9 on the season, the Raiders are out of the playoffs after a poor season, while Adams' former team the Packers are still in with a slight chance of making it to the postseason after their win over the Miami Dolphins last Sunday... and Adams noticed.

Who is the current favorite for the Super Bowl?

The receiver could be hinting that he want's a return to Wisconsin after liking an NFL Twitter post about the Packers' win over Miami.

The liking of the post comes as the receiver had just two catches against the Steelers for 15 yards and the week prior against the New England Patriots he had just four catches for 28 yards. But given the receiver's lofty standards, that is unacceptable.

It appears the Raiders coaching staff thinks so as well as quarterback Derek Carr has been benched for the remaining two games of the season. What Adams wouldn't give to be in Green Bay right now.

When Davante Adams swapped Green Bay for Las Vegas, many thought he was the cherry on top of an offense that was littered with stars. Running back Josh Jacobs, tight end Darren Waller, slot receiver Hunter Renfrow and now Adams have all called Las Vegas home.

But as we know, having all that star power means little if it can't be capatilized on. The Raiders haven't been able to.

The receiver is poised to have his lowest receiving yard total in three years and his games have been up and down. Five times this season, the receiver has totaled just 36 yards or less in a game. That is not good enough.

While he has had his "normal" games of over 100 yards (seven of them), there just hasn't been any consistency in his game or the Raiders offense.

Davante Adams thought the grass was going to be greener when he left Green Bay. He couldn't have been more wrong.
