DeAndre Hopkins snaps at fan calling Titans' WR "trash" after Sydney Sweeney comment

DeAndre Hopkins is not in his prime anymore, but the current Tennessee Titans wide receiver is still a force to be feared. After another 1,000-yard season in 2023, he has shown that, even though he's not elite anymore, there's a place for him as a starter in the league.

Although he's with the Titans, which isn't really a contender team for the upcoming season, his decision to move to Tennessee was criticized by NFL fans, who were hopeful of landing him on their teams but saw him move to the team who offered more. It seems that some fans are still grudging about it.

After a Hopkins comment on the Instagram of famous actress Sydney Sweeney emerged, a Baltimore Ravens fan took the opportunity to trash talk the Titans receiver:

A fan talked trash about DeAndre Hopkins

But the wide receiver, preparing for yet another NFL season, didn't hold back, reminding the Ravens fan that he was still better than any other Baltimore wide receiver in 2023:

The wide receiver did not hold back
The wide receiver did not hold back

The receiver is in the final year of his deal with the Titans, and at this point, it's unknown whether he'll sign an extension or move to a team with a bigger chance of winning a ring. He knows that Tennessee isn't going to be a contender any soon.

DeAndre Hopkins' injury update: veteran receiver missing practices

For DeAndre Hopkins and the Tennessee Titans, the start of the season might have to be delayed. The wide receiver suffered a knee injury during training camp and is expected to miss from four to six weeks.

The Titans desperately need him to be consistent in 2024 again. The receiver is set to be one of the most important pieces on Brian Callahan's offense, which is being crafted to Will Levis' strengths as they push to discover whether he's really their franchise quarterback.

The injury is not an easy one to deal with as he's already a veteran who has dealt with problems sometimes around his career. Nevertheless, if he's back at the time of the regular season kickoff, then there would be no problem for the team.
