DeAndre Hopkins throws shade at NFL executives

DeAndre Hopkins has been keeping the receipts, and the pass catcher is gearing up for a statement season with the Tennessee Titans. Hopkins went on X and had some things to say about the executives who wrote him off in recent years.

Hopkins isn't shy about reminding the league of his route-running prowess, and Tennessee Titans fans would be elated about what the perennial Pro Bowler has to offer.

DeAndre Hopkins has had a rough couple of seasons

There's a reason NFL executives seemingly wrote off Hopkins. It's been a while since the veteran showed off his All-Pro talent.

Before 2023, the last time DeAndre Hopkins had over 1,000 receiving yards was in 2020, as a member of the Arizona Cardinals.

Hopkins had 1,407 receiving yards and six touchdowns in 16 games catching passes from a young Kyler Murray.

However, the perennial Pro Bowler suffered numerous injuries in 2021 and missed six regular season games. He racked up 572 receiving yards and eight touchdowns in 10 games and couldn't play in the postseason due to injuries.

Hopkins' 2022 started off even worse as he began the season with a six-match suspension because of a violation of the NFL's PED policy. He returned to the playing squad and finished the year with a stat line of 717 receiving yards and three TDs in nine games.

The Cardinals then released Hopkins, and he signed a deal with the Tennessee Titans. He showed some of his old self in 2023 as he racked up 1,057 receiving yards and seven touchdowns in a career-high 17 games.

What can you expect from DeAndre Hopkins and the Titans in 2024?

We expect DeAndre Hopkins to continue from where he left off in 2024. The pass catcher has a connection with Will Levis, and they'll be looking to guide Tennessee to a postseason run in 2024.

Of course, it won't be easy, as the Titans have regular-season games against some really tough teams. These include Green Bay Packers, Miami Dolphins, Indianapolis Colts, Buffalo Bills, Detroit Lions, Los Angeles Chargers, Houston Texans, and Cincinnati Bengals. It'll be a tough task, but a fully fit Hopkins should play a significant part in the quest.
