The Denver Broncos released their new look for the 2024 NFL season on Monday morning. The Broncos shared a promotional video on X (formerly Twitter) that took viewers on a journey through the mountains before unveiling the uniform.
The new uniform designs are called the "Mile High Collection," a nickname for the city and its elevation. The Broncos also added '5280' to their jersey design, a nod to the number of feet above sea level where the city of Denver is located. It's the first time since 1997 that the Denver Broncos have debuted a new uniform.
Broncos fans were divided in their opinions on the new jerseys. Some were excited that the new jerseys would hopefully bring a fresh and new outlook to the team, which has struggled the last few seasons.
Others don't like the new concept and were hoping the team would go back to a throwback look.
"These are nice as f**k. Personally didn’t hate the old ones and wish they did the navy a bit more justice but they look good," a fan wrote.
"These are all legitimately awful," a fan said.
Some fans revealed that they mostly disliked the promotional video. Most thought the video resembled a commercial for a new truck and not for an NFL team's new uniform. Another fan said it won't matter what they wear if they still can't produce a winning team on the field.
"I can’t really begin to express how disappointed I am right now," one fan expressed.
"Is this a commercial for the Ford Bronco?" a fan asked.
"Losing in the 4th quarter after scoring 3 points total will hit different in these," another user stated.
Some Broncos fans remained positive and said it was time for a change. Others were excited about the throwback uniforms the team will wear for one game this season.
"Long overdue but finally here!! Thanks for not messing this up," one fan wrote.
"As expected, way better than the concept art that leaked. I love them. No further notes at this time (Oh, and how about the tease for the throwbacks at the very end??" one fan proclaimed.
"Not going to lie. First glance, these are actually pretty fresh. Now let’s hope it leads to more wins," a fan said.
The Denver Broncos are one of 4 NFL teams to get new uniforms for 2024
The Denver Broncos aren't the only team getting a fresh look ahead of the 2024 NFL season. Four teams in the league will debut new uniforms. The other three teams are the New York Jets, the Houston Texans and the Detroit Lions.
While the Texans haven't released their new designs yet, the Jets went for a throwback look, whereas the up-and-coming Lions went for a modern-day look. The Lions will debut a black jersey with a blue helmet this season.
The Broncos will have three different jersey colors: navy blue, orange and white, all paired with blue or white pants. The home uniform jerseys will continue to be orange, a look they chose for the 2012 NFL season.
