Lions vs. Bears Game Summary

The Bears and Lions both needed a fast start after Week 1, but only one team could score first. That team was the Detroit Lions as running back Jahmyr Gibbs rushed into the endzone for a six-yard touchdown on a 60-yard drive.

The Chicago Bears responded, delivering a touchdown of their own with a Caleb Williams pass to Rome Odunze for 28 yards, making the score 7-7. The two teams exchanged punts before the Lions took the lead with a touchdown on a 50 yard drive. Disaster then struck with a Bears fumble, but the Lions didn't manage to capitalize.

The Bears had a nine-yard play that was a turnover on downs in response, so back-to-back failed drives, showing plenty of problems for the Bears offense after a quality start.
