While the two may have been set up and did go on a date, Hudson had to clarify that no, they were not really in a relationship.

According to the Bride Wars actress, they did go to dinner, but were only friends and not romantically involved. Turns out, both stars worked with the same agent. Hudson smiled as she confirmed their relationship status.

“Yeah the J.J. thing.” Hudson explained. We have the same agent. He's a nice dude, he's a nice guy… he's enormous, he's huge.”

Hudson was speaking to Extra's Charissa Thompson when J.J. Watt was brought up. She was promoting her movie, Mother's Day.

The video that caught everyone's attention was shared on Snapchat, where Watt and Hudson were trying out different filters. They posed together, and some fans assumed the two stars were on a date.

Reports added that J.J. Watt was heard talking about a date:

"Apparently, the stars belong to the hottest one on the date.”

Watt is now happily married to Kealia Ohai Watt, for those who are unaware. Despite the fact that the couple began dating publicly in 2017, they have reportedly been together since 2016.

Kealia admitted on the "2 Up Front" podcast that the rumors about their relationship were true:

"The rumors are true. We are dating. I've known JJ for a really long time, and we've always been great friends."

Roughly three years later, in 2019, J.J. Watt and Kealia got engaged. After the NFL star proposed, they shared the news on social media:

"I'm the luckiest man in the world," Watt wrote.

Watt went all out with his preparations, as he even flew their closest to Houston so they could celebrate. Kealia's sister Megan and brother-in-law, Cushing, were among those present.

Watt and Kealia have shared numerous updates together over the years, quickly becoming one of the NFL's most popular couples.
