Eagles star chimes in on Tom Brady’s expletive-laden sideline rant aimed at teammates

Super Bowl LV
Tom Brady has been at the center of yet another controversy

Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have had a shaky start to the 2022 NFL season. Currently sitting at 3-3, the franchise finds itself without answers to a lot of questions.

With their quarterback now in what is believed to be his last season as a pro footballer, expectations were sky-high entering the campaign. But the Buccaneers have slipped up on numerous occasions and there are personal issues reportedly plaguing Brady. As a result, the quarterback has lost his cool more than once.

His most recent outburst was during the Buccaneers' shock defeat to the faltering Pittsburgh Steelers. Mid-way through the game, the quarterback went off at his linesmen in an expletive-laden rant.

Philadelphia Eagles star Jason Kelce discussed the matter on the New Heights podcast with his brother Travis:

"He was yelling at the boys. It wasn't just like, 'Come on guys. We got to do better.' He's Tom Brady. I can't say anything if Tom yells at me. I'm probably not gonna say nothing neither."

Jason can perhaps relate more to the matter as he currently plays center for the undefeated Philadelphia Eagles. He did, though, make it clear that he is not a fan of a quarterback yelling in his face:

"If there's one thing I do not like, it is quarterbacks getting into offensive linemen's faces. Like bro, get the f**k out of my face. I am f**king doing the best I can, brother. I will put you in that trash can over there if you don't shut the f**k up."

But when a quarterback has seven Super Bowl rings, even Jason admitted he wouldn't have anything to say:

"It's Tom Brady. I get it. I'm not saying s**t to him either... He's earned the right to yell a little."

Tom Brady explains why he went of at his teammates during loss to Steelers

Appearing on the Let's Go! podcast, Tom Brady discussed in detail the incident which was caught on camera for millions to see:

"I do think that it's a bad day when there are more F-bombs than touchdowns... They used to kind of keep from showing you in those moments. But now, it's kind of for the world to see. That's just the way it is."

Brady, though, made it clear that everything was good between him and his teammates on the offensive line. But finding themselves in a perilous position, TB12 asked for a bit more urgency from his teammates:

"If I don't feel like we're living up to and playing up to the expectations that we're capable of, then that's my job. I'm a quarterback. I'm not expecting the left tackle, running back or receiver to do it. It's my job to try to get us going, to try to rally us."

The legendary quarterback will have the chance to rally his troops back this weekend when the Tampa Bay Buccaneers take on the Carolina Panthers.
