Former Eagles RB LeSean McCoy makes feelings known on Deion Sanders to Cowboys rumors

The idea of Deion Sanders moving to the Dallas Cowboys could be enticing to the fans. The current head coach of the Colorado Buffaloes in the NCAA played cornerback for the franchise for five years, winning Super Bowl XXX and creating a huge legacy with Jerry Jones and his family.

Sanders' notorious job turning over the Buffaloes, taking the team from 1-11 to 8-3 in just two seasons, has many in the league wondering whether he could succeed as a head coach in the pros. The support for the Cowboys hiring Deion, in case they decide to fire Mike McCarthy at the end of the season, is growing larger each and every day.

Curiously, it was former running back LeSean McCoy, who played for the Cowboys' main rivals, the Philadelphia Eagles, who voiced his support for Sanders to move to Dallas:

"All I'm saying is, Deion Sanders, imagine him being your coach. You see everything he does, everywhere he goes, he wins. Jackson State? I know nothing about Jackson. I start tuning into him right in the history of "they weren't that good till they got him". Colorado: They weren't winning games before he got there, now look what's going on. It's booming in Colorado. So all I'm saying is that it could be the same thing for the Cowboys. They might need that excitement. Get that thing going a little bit, getting a little smart. He's a hell of a coach. He wins everywhere it goes, and let's be honest. We never see Deion losing."

After starting his career with the Atlanta Falcons, and spending a year (and winning the Super Bowl) with the San Francisco 49ers, he joined Jerry Jones' team as a free agent. Curiously, he signed a five-year, $12.99 million contract with Dallas because Jones is superstitious about the number 13.

He won a second straight Super Bowl in 1995 during his first year with the team. The other four years, he was voted to the Pro Bowl, but the team never repeated the same success.

If he's ever hired by Jones, his goal would be to return the team to the title game. The last time they were in the Super Bowl? 1995.
