Deshaun Watson was traded from the Houston Texans to the Cleveland Browns in this year's offseason. The move materialized after Watson refused to play for the Texans amid his lawsuits as he thought the franchise wasn't moving in the right direction.

Another player who wanted to leave the Texans was their wide receiver, Brandin Cooks. There were multiple rumors about him getting traded before the trade deadline, however, he ended up staying in Houston. Following the end of the trade deadline, Cooks expressed his frustration via a tweet. Former Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson showed support for Brandin Cooks as he also faced a similar situation last season.

Here's what Cooks said after being unable to get traded by the Texans:

"Don’t take a man’s kindness for granted. Covered for the lies for too long those days are done. Crossed the line with playing with my career."

Deshaun Watson weighed in with some emoji's:

Deshaun Watson knows how great a player Cooks is. As the Texans weren't going anywhere this season, the receiver wanted to play on a better team in a better situation. Texans head coach Lovie Smith also spoke about the situation to reporters, saying the following:

"I don't live in the world of hypotheticals. Brandin (Cooks) is a part of our football team. Believe it or not, we're playing the Philadelphia Eagles"

The Green Bay Packers and the Dallas Cowboys were interested in Brandin Cooks, but the receiver will play out the season with the Texans.

So far this season, Cooks has 32 catches for 354 yards and one touchdown. Over the course of his career, he has played nine seasons for four teams (Los Angeles Rams, New Orleans Saints, New England Patriots and Texans). He has 605 catches for 8,271 yards and has scored 49 touchdowns.

When will Deshaun Watson return?

Deshaun Watson is still serving his 12 game suspension from the NFL in response to the multiple sexual misconduct lawsuits that were filed against him. He will make his return to the field in Week 13 when the Cleveland Browns face the Houston Texans.

Cooks and Watson will share the field once again, however, this time, they'll be facing each other. The Browns are still in the mix for the playoffs as they defeated the Cincinnati Bengals on Monday Night Football this week to improve their record to 3-5. They'll hope to stay in the mix for the playoffs until Watson returns.
