Safety Tyler Nubin had to wait until Friday night to hear his name called in the second round of the 2024 NFL Draft. However, he didn't appear to let the wait get to him, as he enjoyed some downtime with his girlfriend, Farah Alkurdy.

Alkurdy shared some snaps of their boat day on her Instagram story. In one photo, the couple can be seen playfully dancing and singing together on the boat while music is playing in the background. In a small font on the Instagram story, she referred to Nubin as her 'bestie.'

While some draftees may be nervous and anxiously awaiting to hear their names, Nubin kept it casual and enjoyed time with his loved ones as well.

Tyler Nubin's girlfriend expresses excitement for the future with Giants

Tyler Nubin was selected with the 47th overall selection by the New York Giants. Nubin's physicality and talent should bolster the Giants' secondary and the Gophers' family and friends were excited for his new opportunity.

On her Instagram story, Nubin's girlfriend, Farah Alkurdy shared a video of the moment the former Minnesota Gophers' safety heard his name called.

She then shared her excitement for the opportunity to cheer him on when he is a member of the New York Giants.

Nubin played 55 games during his college career at Minnesota. He counted for 24 passes deflected and 13 interceptions and was a valuable piece of the Gophers defense.

He will now help a New York Giants team that went from winning a playoff game in 2022 to winning just six games in 2023. As he takes the next step in his football career, he will have a strong support system cheering him on the whole way.
