How was Katy Perry's Super Bowl show?

The Super Bowl halftime show has evolved and grown with time. Countless artists have performed at the big game, making it an important highlight during Super Bowl Sunday. As the league has grown, so has the scale of the halftime show.

However, as per Katy Perry, the experience is more than what it seems. The singer performed at the Super Bowl XLIX in 2015 and is remembered for her style and one outfit change.

In an interview with Elle after the halftime show, the popstar opened up about the process behind the show. While her own shows are under her control, working with the NFL is quite the contrast.

Perry said:

“In my show, I am boss daddy. I am boss mommy. They call me Boss. Everything goes through my eyes; I call all the shots, 100 percent of it. With the NFL, I have to be accountable to several levels of red tape"

She continued:

"There are many committees I have to go through for my costumes, the budgets of my show, every interview—everything, I have to report to somebody. So I am no longer the boss; I have to relinquish that control".

Katy Perry added that while they love the opportunity, it ends up being their focus for around six months. After all, it is the biggest stage one could ask for. Later, after the show wrapped up, she recommended staying off the internet for five days.

Katy Perry's Super Bowl outfit change went viral

This year, Rihanna graced the Super Bowl stage for the first time. The singer was one of the most highly requested stars in the game, and ended up stealing the show with her performance. Furthermore, the Queen of Pop was also performing live after seven years.

However, fans looked back at Katy Perry's performance, which included an epic 10-second outfit change.

Considering Rihanna's performance featured just one outfit, fans looked back to Perry's unbelievable outfit change. After all, it isn't easy to get done in 10 seconds.

Perry, of course, was amongst those who cheered Rihanna on for her performance.

"sending you all the love. you got this @rihanna #SuperBowlLVII," Perry wrote.

While Rihanna is no stranger to performing, this was her first event in years. As the Kansas City Chiefs beat the Philadelphia Eagles, Rihanna also confirmed her second pregnancy after the halftime show concluded.
