"I've been through things in my life" - Dak Prescott gets real about being a girl dad on 2025 Father's Day

Dak Prescott will enter his 10th year in the NFL in the 2025 season. The quarterback battled through some serious injuries in his career, including a hamstring issue that ended his 2024 campaign after just four games.

However, on Father's Day, Prescott opened up on the blessings in his personal life, recently become a father for the second time.

“I'm blessed to have the opportunity to raise two girls alongside my fiancée," Prescott said on Sunday. "To have a beautiful family, healthy family, for me it's just about being grateful and not taking the moment for granted when I'm with them. But I've been through things in my life that I don't necessarily think fatherhood just showed me something new.

"I understand the love that my mom had for me, right, in a different way now that I have kids. But I think when you have some of the adversity that I've had you're so thankful for everything you're given, the good and the bad and anything in between that fatherhood is no different now. It just makes me even more focused on the small moments."

Prescott was at the Cowboys' minicamp last week after recovering from his hamstring injury. He is looking forward to working with Dallas coach Brian Schottenheimer, who will enter his first year with the team.

Prescott signed a blockbuster four-year $240 million contract extension with the Cowboys before the start of the 2024 season. The quarterback is the highest-paid NFL player based on annual average value, and he will be under pressure to deliver success to the franchise soon.

Dak Prescott and his fiancée Sarah Jane welcomed their second daughter, Aurora Rayne, on May 22. The couple shared a glimpse of their newest family member on Instagram.

Prescott and Sarah reportedly began dating in September 2023 and made their relationship public a few months later. Their first daughter, Margaret Jane "MJ" Rose, was born in February 2024.

Prescott and Sarah got engaged on Oct. 18. The couple has yet to tie the knot.
