The New York Jets just can't seem to catch a break. Between issues on offense, the head coach being fired, and the GM being let go, the franchise appears to be in a state of constant upheaval with little to bank on in terms of consistency.

Heading into Week 13, the Jets have just three wins in 11 games and are in the running for a top-10 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft as opposed to a spot in the playoffs.

During an appearance on SiriusXM, wide receiver Garrett Wilson gave some insight into what the locker room is going through at the moment.

“It’s been tough. We had some expectations for this year and I had my expectations. We haven’t played up to our standards to make right on those," Wilson said.

Garrett Wilson stresses need for Jets to stick together despite adversity

The Jets' defense has been somewhat respectable even if the offense has failed to get things going. However, Wilson wants the team to be viewed as a whole, pushing the offense to play its part when the defense gets some stops.

“We want to give our defense some mercy," Wilson said. "We feel like we’ve had a rough go this year but it’s been different parts of the game plan, different parts of the football team contributing to that. If the defense gives up 20, we got to go get 21. If we score 6, obviously 6 is never acceptable, but we got to find a way to support each other.
"It’s something that’s weighed on us a lot. Obviously Aaron [Rodgers] had some expectations for how this season would go and the way we went about the offseason in our press was the right way. Whether people believe it or not given the results, but hindsight is 20/20."

Aaron Rodgers himself made some eye-opening remarks on his customary appearance on the Pat McAfee Show on Thursday.

"I haven't told anybody in my life that I want to play in 2025 and not on the Jets. That's 100% false and I actually said the opposite. I don't even know if I want to play yet but New York would be my first option," Rodgers said.

If Rodgers does choose to call time on his career or demand a move elsewhere, that would leave the new GM and head coach with a laundry list of issues to address in 2025.
