Jalen Rose lashes out at Stephen A. Smith for 'fake trolling' Cowboys, says analyst made a career out of it

The ESPN analyst yet again had the last laugh

Stephen A. Smith has been the biggest Dallas Cowboys troll imaginable. Every year, the ESPN analyst finds a new way of needling Cowboys fans when the team gets eliminated from the playoffs, with special videos laughing at the team criticizing their results.

But not everybody is a fan of Smith's antics – and even his fellow ESPN employees are getting upset with his videos and "fake troll" actions. NBA analyst Jalen Rose doesn't like what he sees from Smith, and he took to Twitter to criticize the analyst:

Smith wasn't finished with his trolling, though. He went hard on Michael Irvin and the Cowboys after the former wide receiver tried to break down the Cowboys' loss on Sunday to the San Francisco 49ers, in a fantastic scene for live TV: cigar in hand, feet on the table desk and just waiting for his moment to shine.

With the 19-12 loss to the San Francisco 49ers, the Dallas Cowboys' season ended in disappointing fashion in the NFC divisional round. Another year, it was Stephen who had the last laugh.

Does Stephen A. Smith hate the Cowboys?

The analyst has always had the wildest takes on the Dallas franchise, but it's unclear whether he really hates the Cowboys or if he's just a public persona that has had success with it. Either way, he has had a lot of success with it.

He has made regular appearances on TV since the turn of the century, which collides with the Cowboys' lack of success following five Super Bowl wins. They're only one of three teams to not make an NFC championship game appearance since 1996. The others are the Washington Commanders and the Detroit Lions.

The end of the season had yet another strange play to cement the loss against the 49ers, exactly the same script from the 2021 season. The ESPN analyst has made a different video laughing at the Cowboys every year they're eliminated.

It remains to be seen if Dallas will make any changes after they were eliminated. Fans want coach Mike McCarthy fired, but there's no guarantee that move will happen.
