Hands down, Saquon Barkley's performance against the Los Angeles Rams is making the New York Giants regret their decision to let him walk away after the Philadelphia Eagles RB rushed for 255 yards and two TDs in a 37-20 win on Sunday Night Football.

During ESPN’s broadcast, former NFL QB turned Sports Analyst Troy Aikman didn’t hold back. Referencing to the now infamous clip from Hard Knocks where the Giants CEO, John Mara admitted that he would lose sleep if Saquon Barkley ever ended up with the Philadelphia Eagles, Aikman said:

"John Mayer—if he had a little heartburn when Barkley left and signed with the Eagles—you can only imagine the heartburn he has watching him do what he's done. John Mayer has got to be so sick of that clip and hearing about, "I'm not going to be able to sleep if he goes to Philly."

The Sports Analyst added:

"He's in Philly, and he looks like one of the best running backs ever to visit the planet. And they decided to keep Daniel Jones. Now they don't have either."

Ouch!

For the Giants, firstly, it was truly difficult to watch Barkley sign a deal with their division rival, the Eagles. What's worse is now the franchise has to witness Barkley thriving in Philadelphia.

On Sunday, alongside rushing for 255 yards and two TDs, Saquon Barkley's runs of 70 and 72 yards led the RB to set new records (most rushing yards) for the Eagles in a single game. By achieving the milestone, Barkley broke LeSean McCoy's record of 217 yards from 2013.

Moreover, Barkley is now also among the NFL's all-time greats. He has the ninth-highest single-game rushing total in NFL history.

Adding to that, all thanks to Barkley because the Eagles are now on a seven-game winning streak. Standing at 9-2, the team is in a strong position to be the NFC’s top seed.

Furthermore, Barkley is the fastest player in NFL history to reach 1,602 yards from scrimmage in just 11 games.

That said, five more games are left. So, there is a high possibility that the RB can break more records.

Looking forward, the Eagles will face the Ravens in Week 13 on Sunday. Since Saquon Barkley is ahead of Ravens RB Derrick Henry for the rushing title, the Eagles' new acquisition has become a cornerstone of the team as their ultimate goal is a deep playoff run.
