The Buffalo Bills and Josh Allen had themselves a day after beating the New England Patriots 35-23. It was an emotional day with Damar Hamlin in their thoughts. The Bills ended the regular season in the best way possible.

Perhaps the best thing to happen for Buffalo came after the game. With Hamlin showing signs of improvement over the last few days that have seen him write and talk, his latest moment will warm the heart.

Who are the current Super Bowl favorites?

Bills quarterback Josh Allen revealed post-game that Hamlin made an appearance and it left the locker room in good spirits.

Allen said:

“We were just breaking it down, he facetimed us, he broke it down actually, that was cool too. He got the game ball as well as our trainers and training staff. There’s a good feeling in there right now.”

There was more to come post-game as cornerback TreDavious White revealed that the 24-year-old texted the Bills players and apologized for putting the team through the ordeal over the last week.

There was so much emotion heading into the game due to the safety's incident against the Cincinnati Bengals. Nonetheless, the Bills did a good job of managing those emotions to defeat the Patriots. They will now enter the playoffs on a seven-game winning streak.

Sometimes in sports, there is a feel-good story that makes the neutral fans ride a certain team to glory. For NFL neutrals, that team is now the Buffalo Bills. After the 24-year-old's incident, most would like to see Buffalo hoist the Lombardi trophy for the safety.

Currently the second seed, the Bills will face the Miami Dolphins in the first week of the playoffs and there is no doubt that safety will be on their minds.

While winning a Super Bowl is enough motivation for most players, add in the incentive to "do it" for Hamlin, and suddenly the Bills look even scarier.

Whether or not they manage to lift the Lombardi is yet to be revealed, but with the safety in their thoughts, Buffalo seems to have a leg up on the rest of the NFL.
