Former New York Giants safety Julian Love has signed with the Seattle Seahawks. According to NFL insider Josina Anderson, Love texted her to confirm that he had "agreed to terms with Seattle."

Love was the Giants' fourth-round pick in the 2019 NFL draft. He has recorded 291 tackles, 1.5 sacks, 18 pass deflections, five interceptions, two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries in his career.

Last season, the starting safety recorded a career-high 124 tackles, six TFLs, a sack and two INTs.

He's only missed two games in his career. Last season was the first season of his career as a full-time starter.

In Seattle, he joins a loaded safety group that features Jamal Adams and Quandre Diggs.

Love visited the Seahawks on Thursday. The team also signed linebacker Devin Bush to a one-year contract following a visit from him yesterday.

Love's deal with the Seahawks is worth $12 million over two seasons. He will be paid $6 million per season.

Per spotrac.com, Love earned $5.3 million in his four seasons with the Giants. He will make more than double that during his next two seasons with the Seahawks.

The safety market has been lower than many thought with the Julian Love and Jordan Poyer signings

The safety market has been lower than expected this off-season. Two of the top safeties, Jordan Poyer and Julian Love, received similar, low-ball contracts.

Poyer agreed to a two-year $10 million deal with $2 million in incentives with the Buffalo Bills.

Poyer recorded 63 tackles, four interceptions, one forced fumble, and eight pass break-ups last season. He was also named to the first Pro Bowl of his career this past season.

Eagles safety CJ Gardner-Johnson recorded a career-high six interceptions last season and was one of the best safety but has yet to be signed to the team.

The safety position isn't as valuable as it has been in the past few years, and the contracts have shown it this off-season.
