Fields gave an interesting answer when questioned about his future

Chicago Bears quarterback Justin Fields and his future with the organization have seen many questions about what the franchise will do with him. Currently holding the number one pick in the NFL draft, many think that the Bears will draft a quarterback like CJ Stroud.

If they do, where does that leave Fields as the quarterback in Chicago? While there are only rumors at this stage, there usually isn't smoke without fire.

Fields himself has now offered a little insight into his thinking over the matter, as he posted on his Instagram account. A picture of himself working out with a caption that reads:

"Control what you can Control… God will handle the rest💯🖤 #TheOffseason."

"Control what you can control," that's the mindset of the young quarterback, and in reality, that's all he can do. Work hard and keep on developing his craft and moving forward.

Easier said than done as when your job is looking like it is under threat, sometimes that focus can drift away from what you're supposed to be doing. But in the Bears QB's case, he seems to be on the straight and narrow as he awaits the outcome of the NFL draft.

Could the Bears trade Justin Fields?

While the idea is reportedly there for Chicago to take a quarterback in the draft and move on from Fields according to some, actually doing it is a big decision.

Former NFL general manager Rick Spielman was on the With The First Pick Podcast. He said that the Bears should be weary of trading away the quarterback in the fear that he could have a "Jalen Hurts-type" season in 2023.

The organization has also put heaps of work into him. To just essentially start from scratch with another young quarterback isn't very rational.

This ultimately depends on what the Bears think of their current starter and his ceiling as a starting quarterback in the NFL.

With the NFL draft quickly approaching, if Chicago is on the fence regarding the quarterback position, they better figure it out soon. Holding the number one pick means they have the entire draft board to look at...and it's a decision they can't afford to get wrong.
