In the last few years, NFL fans haven't been impressed with EA Sports' Madden NFL video game. Whether it's the format, concept graphics or player ratings, something has disappointed its former loyal customers.

On X, Madden NFL 25 shared a video from the game where Isiah Pacheco was running down the field. It depicts an "angry run" and was considered new and improved in the game.

NFL fans aren't convinced and shared their opinions. One fan said the EA Sports College Football 25 game is better than the NFL version. Another said that the game's graphics didn't look any different than previous editions.

The thought that the EA Sports College Football game is better than the NFL version of the game continued in the comment section on X. One fan questioned if any NFL fans would even purchase the Madden game.

Which NFL star will be on the cover of Madden 25?

Being selected as the cover star of the EA Sports Madden NFL 25 game is typically considered a 'jinx.' Previous NFL stars who have graced the cover of the video game have gone on to suffer injuries and bad seasons.

This year's NFL athlete is hoping that his appearance on the cover won't bring either of those fates. San Francisco 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey was selected for this year's cover, EA Sports announced on June 11.

McCaffrey is coming off a 2023 NFL season where he had 1,459 rushing yards, 14 rushing touchdowns, 564 receiving yards and seven receiving touchdowns, which led the 49ers to an appearance in Super Bowl LVIII.
