Mike White injured: What happened to Jets QB?

New York Jets v Buffalo Bills
New York Jets quarterback Mike White suffered an injury on Sunday.

If you're looking for a tough quarterback, you can't do much better than Mike White of the New York Jets. Against the Buffalo Bills, White took several brutal shots as New York fell to its division rival 20-12.

While White's stats read 27/44 for 268 passing yards, Joe Flacco had to come in later due to an injury to the starter, but the fifth-year signal-caller returned.

The Bills went after White several times and put him through the turf on a number of occasions. Buffalo ended up with four sacks on the day, but it was the repeated quarterback hits that eventually took their toll on White.

Robert Saleh's defense will have some questions to answer in the film room this week as their quarterback was a sitting duck at times. The loss to the Bills sees the Jets drop to 7-6 on the year while Buffalo takes a stranglehold on the AFC East with a 10-3 record.

After the game, several reports were circling that the Jets quarterback had a rib injury. This turned out to be true, with Mike White being taken to the hospital as a precaution. He took several huge shots from the ferocious Bills defense, with one tackle essentially folding him in half.

The tackle left him on the ground and in significant pain. Bills defensive end Ed Oliver got to the Jets quarterback with another brutal hit. Watch below:

Unfortunately, for the Jets quarterback, the big hits didn't stop coming. While the one above clearly rattled his cage, Bills linebacker Matt Milano wanted his turn. And he got it:

Having already lost players to injury as the Jets chase a playoff spot, hopefully, they do not have to add their quarterback to the evergrowing list.

With four games left in the season, New York will likely have to win out to ensure a playoff spot. While not impossible, the task would be significantly harder should their starting quarterback miss any time with his rib injury.
