Robert Griffin III was prepared for a frigid game at Lambeau Field and fans couldn't get enough of his outfit.

Former NFL quarterback Robert Griffin III, or RGIII for short, has become a fan favorite on each week's Monday Night Football kickoff show. Fans appreciate his commentary and perspective as a former NFL player.

The temperature at kickoff was below 15 degrees Fahrenheit on Monday night, live from Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wisconsin. RGIII wore a large parka with a fur-lined hood and a hat that was sure to keep him warm while also getting people talking.

RGIII tweeted a picture of himself at the Monday Night Football preshow desk along with a picture of the thermometer which displayed a temperature below 20 degrees Fahrenheit.

Fans on Twitter reacted to Griffin's outfit and hat. Many people admired his entire outfit for the game, and some were curious as to where he got the hat. Others said he looked like he was wearing his grandmother's hat, and a few said he should be used to that type of weather from his time in the NFL.

How long did RGIII play in the NFL?

Robert Griffin III played his collegiate career at Baylor University, where he was also a member of the university's track and field team. He played four years at Baylor and won the coveted Heisman Trophy Award in 2011 before being declared for the NFL Draft. He threw for 10,366 yards, 78 passing touchdowns, 2,254 rushing yards, and 33 rushing touchdowns during his career at Baylor.

He was drafted with the second overall pick by Washington in the 2012 NFL Draft. He had a successful rookie campaign that led Washington to the playoffs that season. He was also named to the 2013 NFL Pro Bowl after his standout rookie season. However, he was unable to play in the game due to a knee injury.

After injuries and struggles in 2013 and 2014, Griffin lost his starting job in Washington. After the 2015 season, he was released by the team.

He then signed with the Cleveland Browns and appeared in five games before being released at the end of the season. He was a free agent in 2017 before signing as a backup quarterback with the Baltimore Ravens in 2018. He spent three seasons as the Ravens' backup quarterback to Lamar Jackson before being released in 2021.

He then began his next career as an NFL analyst with ESPN.
