After Week 7 in the 2023-2024 NFL regular season, the Buffalo Bills sit at 4-3, holding onto second place in the AFC East. Before the season began, many pegged Buffalo as a top contender in the AFC, but almost midway through the season, they aren't even the top dog in their division.

Coming off their 29-25 Week 7 divisional loss to the New England Patriots, the Bills have now dropped two out of their last three games. Two of their three losses have come in their division as they lost their season opener to the New York Jets.

As the trade deadline looms around the corner, which will end on October 31, ESPN's Graziano thinks that the Bills will make a trade before the deadline and could possibly add some defensive talent. Via Get Up, he thinks they could potentially add two pieces on defense.

"I think we're seeing the worst of Buffalo. I don't think they're going to be. I was curious to see what they do by next Tuesday. Maybe they add a piece or two on defense right by the trade deadline."

We saw the Tennessee Titans trade two-time All-Pro safety Kevin Byard to the Philadelphia Eagles yesterday, so things are heating up on the trade block.

Some defensive players that could be traded include Minnesota Vikings pass rusher Danielle Hunter, Washington Commanders edge rusher Montez Sweat, Carolina Panthers edge rusher Brian Burns, Denver Broncos cornerback Patrick Surtain II, Minnesota Vikings safety Harrison Smith, and many others.

Do the Buffalo Bills have a good chance at being dethroned as AFC East champs?

The Buffalo Bills are currently in second place in the AFC East with a 4-3 record. While that's still a positive record, it may not be enough to win the division this year.

The Miami Dolphins are in front with a 5-2 record. Like the Bills, they lost this week but are still a game above them in the division.

The New York Jets, at 3-3, are also in contention to win the division. Even without Aaron Rodgers, they've earned victories over the Bills this season.

While there are still 11 weeks left in the season, anything can happen, but the Bills need to start racking up more wins if they want a chance of repeating as division champs.
