Green Bay Packers superstar Aaron Rodgers held out for the entire offseason in 2021, citing a need for more input in the front office's decision-making process. When he returned to play for the Packers, many claimed that he eventually caved in under the pressure.

However, according to one NFL analyst, the quarterback was the one who got the final laugh. Speaking on "Slow News Day," Chris Simms claimed that the team is tired of resisting and has since allowed him to do whatever he wants.

Here's how he put it:

"I feel like this year is way more of a 'This is what Aaron Rodgers likes and we're just going to have to kind of play with this. We got the young receivers and we had some injuries in the offensive line, so okay, let's just let him have his way.'"

Simms went on to explain what Rodgers' desires look like on the field:

"He wants to keep things still and then get to the line of scrimmage. And he knows the list of plays he wants to get to at the line of scrimmage [and then] audible according to what the defense is. That's his comfort zone."

Several times this year, fans have gotten fed up with Aaron Rodgers and the 4-8 team, loudly booing them at times during games. For a team which won 13 games in each of the last three years, 2022 has been a sobering result.

After starting 3-1 and on pace to continue their streak of dominance, the Packers hit a wall. Since then, they've dropped seven games with just one victory to show for it.

Of course, the timing of the win was perfect for Green Bay fans who disliked former coach Mike McCarthy, who now coaches the Dallas Cowboys. However, one revenge win doesn't fix a season.

Now, as the season begins to wind down for the struggling team, calls for Jordan Love have been heard echoing through the zeitgeist. Will Rodgers finish the season?
