NFL fan shockingly loses $1.4 million bet on Chargers before team's epic collapse against Jaguars

Last night's game between the Los Angeles Chargers and the Jacksonville Jaguars will be hard to forget for years to come. The Bolts jumped to a 27-0 lead in the first half but still managed to lose the game 30-31.

Since the NFL playoffs began, a lot of betting action has been seen in the games. When LA were up 27-0, one person dropped $1.4 million on them to win the game. Had the Chargers won, the person would have made a quick profit of $11,200.

But that didn't happen as we saw one of the worst collapses in NFL history. Trevor Lawrence and the Jacksonville Jaguars outscored the Bolts 31-3 after that person placed the bet.

What was seen as a certified lock to cash $11,200 ended up costing the person a massive amount of $1.4 million. Not many would have predicted the Jaguars winning the game after being down 27-0 but that is why sports are special.

The person who lost $1.4 million would be absolutely gutted with how the game played out and will have learned a hard lesson. In the future, they will likely not bet such an absurd amount of money even when the game's outcome is almost certain.

Justin Herbert sounds off after the Chargers' collapse

In his first-ever playoff appearance, Justin Herbert got off to a good start. But the outcome of the game wasn't predicated. The LA QB was visibly very upset with how he and his team played in the second half.

Here's what Justin Herbert said after the Chargers were eliminated by the Jaguars:

"As an offense, we need to do more in the second half and, you know, that falls on us offensively and as a quarterback, I need to perform better. And you gotta be able to put up more than three points in the second half."

He added:

"So, I feel horrible for the defense for, you know, the incredible effort they put out there today, but gotta be better as a team. It's really tough because, you know, we think really highly of our team and that's a special group of guys in that locker room."

We could see major changes around the franchise in the coming offseason as they might look to move on from Brandon Staley. They are likely to be in a race with other teams to get Sean Payton as their new head coach.
