CBS cameras caught the multi-platinum pop star Taylor Swift and Jackson Mahomes cheering the Kansas City Chiefs against the Los Angeles Chargers at the Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday as the NFL's obsession with Swift continued.
At one point, when she and Brittany Mahomes did their secret handshake, the latter's brother-in-law Jackson was seen tagging along. However, that has caused fans to put out the reminder that the younger brother of Chiefs star quarterback Patrick Mahomes had been arrested in May for assault and sexual battery.
That was after he had forcibly kissed the owner of Aspen's Restaurant and Lounge in the Kansas City suburb of Overland Park and shoved one of their waiters on Feb. 25.

In August, three months after her incident with Jackson Mahomes, Aspen Vaughn closed Aspen's Restaurant and Lodge, which she had owned and operated for two and a half years.
In an interview with ABC affiliate KMBC, she said that she had intially had high hopes:
"There is not really a spot I didn't personalize or make fun. I really had a passion for wanting to build something special for the community.”
However, after the Jackson Mahomes incident, everything changed. Aspen's Restaurant and Lounge became the cente of unwanted attention to the point of vandalism and sabotage, and it soon began wearing her down:
"It was like one of those things where we’re like, what are we going to wake up today to?” she said. “Like I'm strong, and I can take a lot, but it still hurts your feelings, and it's still insulting. So, it’s like, okay, I’m tapping out.
"All of the excitement and all of the dreams I had for it — I feel like aren't there anymore."
Staffer Stephanie Lopez also addressed the situation, telling the Kansas City Star that she was confident that a new owner would restore its reputation:
“I’m sure the right person will come along. We just want somebody else to make it into whatever their dream restaurant is.”
Jackson, meanwhile, continues to maintain his innonence. His trial was cancelled again on Tuesday, but he will have a preliminary hearing in January 2024.
