The situation for CeeDee Lamb and the Dallas Cowboys couldn't be worse. The wide receiver is playing with a hurt shoulder, and the Cowboys, who had a 3-5 record, are set to be without Dak Prescott for a huge period of time, as the quarterback will go into injured reserve with a hamstring injury.
This is a season where everything could go wrong with the team, and another example was seen on Sunday. Cooper Rush did not have a great first half, but CeeDee Lamb had a great opportunity to score a touchdown in the red zone.
The problem is, with the roof open at the AT&T stadium, Lamb lost track of the ball with the sun in his eyes. He was free, but could not make the catch and the Cowboys did not score. Fans were livid with the situation:
"You know what's more important than winning games to Jerry Jones? Never admitting you were wrong.", said one fan.
"Jerry Jones is the problem, not the players [and] not the coaching. A fish stinks from the head.", another one wrote.
"They keep the roof and doors closed because they don’t want to interfere with the offense. Jerry is such a clown", a third one said.
Cowboys score no touchdowns after CeeDee Lamb's missed score
Jerry Jones once again was present at a disappointing exhibition by his team. This time, the Philadelphia Eagles easily dominated the game and won 34-6, officially snatching first place in the division and with four games ahead of Dallas in the NFC East.
The Cowboys, who hold a 3-6 record, have lost all four games they played at home.
Cooper Rush finished the game with 13 completions out of 23 attempts for just 45 passing yards, no touchdowns and no interceptions. Trey Lance took over late in the game, but he had 4 completions out of 6 attempts for 21 yards and an interception. It was a bad day for the Cowboys' quarterbacks.
Lamb had 6 catches in the game but he finished with only 21 yards. Dallas was dominated by Philadelphia's defense.
