NFL fans left frustrated with Brittany Mahomes' constant criticism of refs during Chiefs vs Texans game

Brittany Mahomes has never been afraid to share her thoughts on matches involving her husband, quarterback Patrick Mahomes and his Kansas City Chiefs. It was no different when the Chiefs took on the Houston Texans in a very tight Week 15 matchup. Kansas City won it in overtime by a score of 30-24.

During this contest, Brittany stated her bold views on how the referees are calling the game at the NRG Stadium on Twitter. She had this to say about the officials in the Chiefs-Texans game:

"I'm tired of the dirty hits"

This didn't sit well with many NFL fans as they went to the social media platform to express how they felt about her tweet.

In the game, the Chiefs were called for 10 penalties as opposed to the Texans' four. There were several instances which suggested that Brittany Mahomes has a point about the officiating.

Chiefs Pro Bowl wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster was picked up and slammed to the turf, but no penalty was called by the referees in the matchup.

Baker Mayfield and the Rams will be underdogs against Aaron Rodgers and the Packers:

Texans cornerback Desmond King shoved All-Pro tight end Travis Kelce’s head to the turf. Yet, Kelce was penalized for unnecessary roughness due to his reaction to the push by King.

Patrick Mahomes was also slammed down to the ground but roughing the passer wasn't called by the referees. Nonetheless, the Super Bowl MVP had a solid game versus the Texans' defense.

How did Brittany Mahomes' husband fare in the Chiefs' Week 15 win?

Despite the penalties, Patrick Mahomes had himself another great game, throwing for 336 yards and two touchdowns. For the 2018 NFL MVP, it was his ninth game this season with at least 300 yards passing and his 10th with at least two touchdowns. He also ran it into the endzone, his third on the ground this season.

With the win, the quarterback led the Chiefs to their fifth straight AFC West crown. Now, Kansas City can focus on trying to be the number one seed in the AFC with their 11-3 record. Let's see if Brittany Mahomes will have more to say about the Texans' game on social media.
