NFL fans roast Cowboys after blowing 17-point lead in OT loss vs. Jaguars

Dallas Cowboys v Jacksonville Jaguars
The Cowboys' loss to the Jaguars means they have to wait a week to clinch a playoff berth.

The Dallas Cowboys threw away a 27-10 lead midway through the third quarter to lose 40-34 to the Jacksonville Jaguars in overtime. After seemingly having the game in check, the Cowboys managed to lose a game where they had more than 14 minutes extra time of possession than the Jaguars.

With a playoff spot on the line, Dallas wilted under the pressure in the second half. Dak Prescott led his team in a touchdown drive late in the fourth quarter before Trevor Lawrence responded with a field goal to tie the game and take it to overtime.

What are Dallas' playoff odds after the defeat?

Dallas got a stop on defense and had the ball rolling near midfield until a tipped pass from Prescott to Noah Brown was intercepted and the Jaguars raced through for a touchdown. Cowboys fans were not pleased, with one saying they lost to a povery franchise.

"You just lost to a poverty franchise"

Another fan is fed up with the same thing happening for the last 25 years.

Other NFL fans were quick to roast Dallas after a very poor loss.

It appears that most fans are taking great delight in Dallas' latest loss against the Jaguars.

Cowboys loss not the end of the world

Although a punch to the gut, in the grand scheme of things, the season is far from over. While winning the NFC East is now next to impossible, Dallas was unlikely to win it anyway prior to Sunday's game.

Nonetheless, sitting at 10-4 and needing one win to secure a playoff berth, there is still much to play for despite some Dallas fans' mindset.

The loss will hurt as they now have to pick themselves up and get ready for the Philadelphia Eagles on Christmas Eve. For many, Dallas is a playoff lock with the Eagles, Tennessee Titans and the Washington Commanders to come. Just one win will do it.

But for now, the world is caving in, with the Cowboys Nation hating their 10-4 team after its overtime loss.

While it might seem like it's all over, Dallas still has a lot to play for in 2022.
