Along with NFL players, their families often gain a lot of attention on social media. Most NFL stars' wives and girlfriends are known to document certain events on social media, sharing as much as they can with their followers. Unfortunately, there's a downside to connecting through social media sites.

After all, one cannot understand a person intimately just through online interactions.

In a recent article by Yahoo, various NFL stars' wives reached out to put an end to the constant gold-digger allegations. They spoke about their identity crisis', online accusations and how they have received hate.

Juwan Johnson's wife Chanen broke down their situation and how their lives are dictated by tight schedules and changing contracts.

"I get a lot of hate for not working. I mean, I do work. People don't understand that social media is work," she said.

Right now, Chanen and Juwan have millions of followers on their joint account (@juandchan on TikTok).

"With the lifestyle and the scheduling and barely being able to see him, it just did not work out," she added. "It was really hard for me just to quit what I was doing and that I loved and then put his dreams on the top of the priority list."

NFL star's wife Chanen Johnson admits to her life being 'thrown around'

In addition, Chanen also revealed how their lives are usually out of their hands. If a team signs her husband, the family moves. She reinforced the fact that they are all in it together:

"Your life's kind of just thrown around and you don't really get a say in it. But honestly, neither does he. So we're in it together."

On Instagram, Chanen ended up thanking Yahoo for the opportunity to share her story.

"Thank you @yahoo for such a special opportunity to share our stories," Chanen wrote.

Allison Kuch, married to Isaac Rochell, wasn't available to comment. However, she was recently invited to the Super Bowl to make content. Allison has previously spoken about being called a gold-digger:

"Last year people were calling me a gold-digger and now here I am working with the NFL."

Rick Lavato's wife, Jordan, said their lives are special and that women are equally important in supporting their husbands.

"We're the people getting them up and out the door, we're scheduling things, we're making sure they're OK," Jordan said.

Fred Warner's wife, Syndey, also spoke about the risks involved and how dangerous it can be.

"Every time Fred gets tackled or makes a tackle, and he's on the ground for more than five seconds and doesn't pop up, I'm not OK," Sydney revealed.

Considering all the factors, it can be a difficult ride for everyone involved. Hopefully the perception of players' wives will become more positive with time, but the internet is not always a friendly place.
