NFL Trade Rumors: Insider reveals Aaron Rodgers pick between Raiders and Jets 

Aaron Rodgers' time with the Green Bay Packers appears to be coming to an end. According to reports, the Packers are looking to move on from their franchise quarterback. There will be no shortage of teams that are interested in his services.

When looking at his options, there are two teams that immediately come to mind. The New York Jets would be a great fit. They have built a solid team with great defense. They are only missing a star-caliber quarterback. The Jets tried out four different starting quarterbacks in 2022. Zach Wilson, who was selected second overall in the 2021 NFL Draft, fell out of favor midway through the season.

The Las Vegas Raiders are moving on from their starting QB Derek Carr. That means they will be in the market for a new quarterback. Aaron Rodgers fits the bill.

If the four-time NFL MVP was presented with those two options, he would likely prefer the Raiders. If he goes there, he will reunite with Davante Adams. In Rodgers' last two MVP seasons with the Packers, Adams was his top receiver. Another advantage of joining the Raiders is that there is no income tax in Las Vegas. This is not the case in New York.

Would Aaron Rodgers prefer a move to the AFC?

As great as he has been, Aaron Rodgers is undoubtedly nearing the end of his career. He has won one Super Bowl and would love to win another one before he retires. If that's the case, joining an AFC West team may not be in his best interest.

If he goes to the Raiders, he will be up against Patrick Mahomes, Russell Wilson, and Justin Herbert in the same division. If he gets traded to the Jets, he will face Josh Allen, Mac Jones, and Tua Tagovailoa in the AFC East.

The AFC conference also features premier quarterbacks like Joe Burrow, Lamar Jackson, Deshaun Watson, and Trevor Lawrence. If he is looking to win another Super Bowl, he will likely have an easier path with an NFC team.

There are teams like the Dallas Cowboys and the Washington Commanders who would prefer to have him as their starting quarterback. The NFC South is arguably the weakest division in the league. If he joins one of those teams, he would make them instant favorites to finish at the top of the division.

The question is whether the Packers will want to trade Aaron Rodgers to a division or conference rival. If that's the case, it might be in the Packers' best interest to keep him for another season.
