Tom Brady is the yardstick against which every quarterback is measured. When Patrick Mahomes burst onto the scene and led the Kansas City Chiefs to a Super Bowl win, he was appointed heir apparent. But so far, as good as Mahomes has been, how does he compare to the quarterback known as the greatest of all time?

So far, in both postseason games they have met, Mahomes has lost. Tom Brady has surpassed Patrick Mahomes in Super Bowl wins even since the time the Chiefs quarterback joined the league. Comparing Mahomes and Brady feels a bit like comparing a sunrise to a sunset. Both are spectacular in their own right, and it often comes down to personal preference.

In some ways, this shows that teams matter more than just individual quarterbacks. Mahomes has many more years left but to equal Brady would need him to maintain his excellence consistently. He is definitely on the right track and if he avoids injury he seems set to become the greatest of all time.
