Patrick Mahomes' mom Randi and Shaq compare rings ahead of Super Bowl Sunday

As Patrick Mahomes gears up for the Super Bowl, his family is all set for the pre-game festivities. Just like the various events on game day, the Super Bowl is preceded by hours of partying, celebrity events and great food. Mahomes' mother Randi is in Arizona and ready to support her son and the Kansas City Chiefs.

Interestingly, Randi seems to have started her festivities by spending some time with NBA icon Shaquille O'Neal. Randi compared the ring on her hand with Shaq's, who was wearing his Los Angeles Lakers championship ring to the party.

Shaq, who was with the Lakers from 1996 to 2004, won three consecutive titles alongside Kobe Bryant (2000 to 2002).

On Instagram, @iamliljay shared a photo of Shaq, where one can only see Randi Mahomes' hand. She shared the image, writing 'rings' in the caption.

Earlier, Patrick Mahomes' mother had shared a closeup of their hands.

She also shared photos with Jackson Mahomes, who is also in Arizona for the Super Bowl.

Both Randi and Jackson have always been present to support the chiefs QB, along with his wife Brittany.

Patrick Mahomes' mother shared an adorable throwback before the Super Bowl

Before the Super Bowl, the league arranged the NFL honors ceremony. While Mahomes bagged the MVP award, Randi shared an old photo right before the event.

"This feels like yesterday but today I’m headed off to watch (try too 🫣) my boy. Cheering for my kids never gets old. I wouldn’t have it any other way #chiefs #15 #ibelieve #blessed," she wrote.

In the image, Patrick Mahomes is wearing his Whitehouse High School Varsity Football No. 5 jersey. At the event, Randi even posed with host Kelly Clarkson.

During Mahomes' speech, he thanked his family for all their support.

"[Thank you] for supporting me everyday, and telling me since I was a little kid, to follow my dreams."

Mahomes also thanked Brittany, his two kids (Sterling and Bronze) and the Chiefs organization.

The Super Bowl is scheduled to take place on Sunday, February 12 at the State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona (6:30 PM EST).
