The Denver Broncos added more firepower to their explosive offense with the signing of JK Dobbins, who spent the 2024 NFL season with the LA Chargers. Dobbins visited the team last week, which excited many fans who believed it was a good match for both parties.
Six days later, Dobbins is a member of the Broncos, joining a team that can maximize his opportunities to shine. On Tuesday, NFL insider Tom Pelissero reported on X that Dobbins joined the Broncos on a one-year, $5.25 million deal.

Many fans had something to say about this, with some saying this was bad news for 2025 draftee RJ Harvey.

"RJ Harvey Career over before it even started," one fan said.
Others were hyped to see JK Dobbins joining their squad.
JK Dobbins will enter his fifth NFL season this year, after being drafted as the No. 55 pick in the 2020 draft by the Baltimore Ravens. In 37 games played, he's racked up 429 carries for 2,252 yards and 21 touchdowns. He's coming off a 195-carry, 905-yard and nine-touchdown season with the Chargers, helping the team return to the postseason during Jim Harbaugh's first season.
Sean Payton shares his thoughts on JK Dobbins
Shortly after they met with JK Dobbins, Sean Payton spoke to reporters to discuss how the veteran could fit in if he signed with the Denver Broncos.
“Another good football player that we’ve seen firsthand," Payton said. "I’ve seen for a while. The importance of that position group. We really like the group right now we’re working with, it’s just another opportunity to possibly bring in another good football player to help us win.”
The 2015 Super Bowl champions went out and added several pieces to bolster their offensive backfield. Former UCF Knights running back RJ Harvey was selected with the No. 60 pick in the second round of this year's draft. He joins second-year quarterback Bo Nix, who's poised for another exciting season.
Denver finished the 2024 season with a 10-7 record but was eliminated in the Wild Card round after a 31-7 loss to the Buffalo Bills. This shows they're not yet ready to contend. With Nix gaining experience and the team adding key pieces to support him, they could make a deep run if everything comes together.
