Former NFL tight end Rob Gronkowski on Wednesday gave his thoughts on Russell Wilson's wife, Ciara, and her now-famous NFL drill workout while visiting the White House.
As Ciara and Wilson were at the White House in April 2022 at the annual Easter Egg roll, Ciara showcased her footwork and agility as she was put through an "NFL style" workout by her husband.
The video went viral as Wilson posted it to his social media account. On the "Up & Adams Show with Kay Adams," Gronkowski detailed what he liked about Ciara's efforts:
“Oh, I mean, I just thought Ciara, her moves going through the bags were just very impressive. Just her footwork, I was just very impressed with her footwork going through the cones and going through the bags. So, I just had to hit the like button.
"It was pretty fast it went through that's actually faster than I would say that most NFL players going through the bags and cones, so I was just impressed with just her agility.”
The small NFL drill happened a month after Wilson was traded to the Denver Broncos from the Seattle Seahawks, although the first year at Mile High didn't go as planned for Wilson as Denver missed the playoffs.
Is Rob Gronkowski finally done with NFL football?
After seeing how well Wilson's wife did in her little NFL workout with her husband, do we think that Gronkowski could be coming back after a second retirement? We don't think so.
The future Hall of Fame tight end said in July 2022 that he is done with football after an illustrious career that spanned 11 years and yielded four Super Bowl wins, five Pro Bowls and four All-Pro nods.
With Russell and Ciara entering their second season in Denver, many hope that under new coach Sean Payton, the Broncos will be far better than last season.
