The Philadelphia Eagles and the Pittsburgh Steelers have both made the state of Pennsylvania proud. These two teams sit with a 6-2 record after nine weeks, are strong playoff contenders and have won at least three straight games. But the state of Pennsylvania is deeply embroiled in another battle.

On Tuesday, November 5, a new president will be elected in the United States of America. Pennsylvania is considered a key battleground state for both Kamala Harris and Donald Trump, who will compete for the presidency. As such, their campaigns have been focusing a lot there before Election Day.

One of the personalities working on behalf of Harris' campaign is actor Robert DeNiro. In a tailgate before the Eagles' Week 9 game against the Jacksonville Jaguars, he was seen speaking with a mic to convince fans to vote for the Democrat candidate:

His former Chief of Staff, General Kelly, reminded us that Trump admires Hitler and ridicules our American troops who died for us. He mumbles, he stumbles and blubbers on, exhibiting clear signs of dementia. He promoted the project 2025, agenda... Meanwhile, Kamala Harris has plans, real plans, not concepts of plans. She's got a plan to help workers in the middle class with an opportunity economy. She'll lower their taxes. Trump will raise them. He says it all the time you're going to raise them for his rich friends. It seems like a clear choice, right? Election Day is upon us.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez's mistake during the Eagles Week 7 game

The race for Pennsylvania has been massive, and Democrat favorite Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez took to Twitter to ask Democrats to go outside and convince friends and fellow citizens to register and vote. The Eagles were playing the Giants, and she thought that it would be a great idea to knock on the door of Philadelphia's fans during the game.

The idea quickly backfired. She was warned by many followers that people who did interrupt fans from watching an Eagles game would get rude responses. Ocasio-Cortez retracted herself in a later tweet, saying "ok, fine, not a door but maybe a textbank".
