Seahawks star Tyler Lockett proposes solution for random child support problem

Seahawks wide receiver Tyler Lockett has helped out Russell Wilson and Geno Smith many times in his career. However, in his latest Twitter post, the wide receiver took to attempting to help out someone struggling with post-breakup financial troubles.

In a video posted on Daily Loud, a person's former wife or girlfriend recorded herself antagonizing the father of her child over child support.

The roughly one minute video clip revealed that the former lover was on the hook for $1200 per week or $4800 per month. Here was the lifeline the wide receiver attempted to throw out at the father:

"Now if he was to open a separate account and put the child support money in there and she had to use that card for every purchase for child. If he gets every receipt and she’s buying herself stuff with that money he can get his payments super super lower."

Heading into his age 31 season, the Seahawks wide receiver is approaching the end of the typical prime of a wide receiver's career. With the majority of his NFL years behind him, the wide receiver has also earned the majority of what he could earn from the league.

According to Spotrac, Lockett has already concluded two contracts with the Seahawks. In his completed deals, he was up for earning at least $15.5 million with the chance to earn about $33 million. However, while his prime could be coming to a close, the receiver still has plenty of time with his current team.

Lockett's current deal runs through the end of the 2025 season and goes back to 2021. The deal dwarfs his first two deals combined, and is worth up to $69 million, with $37 million gauranteed.
