Skip Bayless went after Aaron Rodgers over the Pittsburgh Steelers' big personal announcement. The quarterback signed a one-year deal with the AFC North franchise last week, putting an end to months of rumors and speculation.
During his first conversation with reporters as a member of the Steelers, Rodgers revealed that he tied the knot during the offseason but opted not to divulge any details about it. He turned a lot of heads when he attended the conference with a wedding ring, a gesture that didn't sit well with Bayless.
The veteran analyst called out Rodgers for the four-time NFL MVP's desire to remain a mystery and win the battle against the media.

"Aaron Rodgers wore a wedding ring to his 1st Steelers press conference because he wanted the media to know he had pulled one over on 'em - got married "a couple of months ago" without anyone knowing. Her identity remains a mystery. Now if only he could still fool defenses."

Aaron Rodgers signed a one-year, $13.65 million deal with the Steelers on Friday. The contract could go up to $19.5 million with incentives. As for his wife, PEOPLE reported that he married a woman named Brittani, who's a private person and not active on social media.
Rodgers is coming off a tumultuous season with the New York Jets. He only won five games as a starter in New York, posting 3,897 passing yards and 28 touchdowns on 368 completions.
He's entering a new situation with high expectations, too, as the Steelers carry heavy pressure after this signing.
Aaron Rodgers refuses to criticize the New York Jets
The 2025 season opener for Aaron Rodgers and the Pittsburgh Steelers will be against the New York Jets. The speculation about this matchup is already high, but Rodgers isn't falling into the trap of talking badly about his former organization.
The veteran quarterback was asked about the Jets, but he decided not to take shots at the team.
"I’m not going to take any shots at my previous organization, if that’s what you’re trying to get me to do," Rodgers said. "I'm going to talk about these guys. I like the opportunity here."
After having Russell Wilson and Justin Fields as quarterbacks last season, the Steelers opted to bring in another seasoned veteran. This one is one of the most polarizing in the league, but the Steelers have high expectations for him.
