Last week, Tom Brady announced his retirement from the NFL for good as he now looks forward to the second chapter of his life. The decision to retire, however, came as a surprise to many.
Brady was about to enter free agency and multiple teams were keeping tabs on him. But the former Buccaneers quarterback decided not to continue playing football. He still has the motivation to play at such an old age, but claimed that he should focus on other things as well.

"I think there's a part of me that there's always going to be a part that wants to play and a part of me that feels like I can play I think there's just a decision to know that it's the right time.
"So, I think for me, it's more of just, it's going to end at some point and I think now's the time and it's not that I can't do it's not that I wouldn't want to do it. It's not that I wouldn't be excited to play.
"I love playing football, I've loved playing football since I was you know, a kid on the street on Portola drive. So, I think it's just a decision that it's time to do other things."
As the new season begins, rumors about Brady's return will definitely circulate throughout the league just like they have done with Rob Gronkowski this season.
However, Brady appeared quite emotional in the video in which he announced his retirement. it really does feel ike he is retiring from the game after an illustrious career.

Following his retirement last season, Tom Brady signed a 10-year, $375 million contract with Fox Sports, but he chose to return. With him now retiring, there has been speculation about when he will resume his broadcasting career.
The former Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback has stated that he will not begin his contract with FOX until 2024. He wants to take his time and prepare for this big opportunity in the broadcast booth. Brady is a perfectionist, and it won't be surprising if he quickly becomes one of the best in the broadcasting industry.
