Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers lost to the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday by a score of 20-18. This loss was one of the most shocking in a day that was full of rather surprising upsets. The Buccaneers were heavy favorites and the Steelers were missing several key players and even lost their starting quarterback to injury.
Following the loss, Brady took to Instagram to talk about the game. He shared a photo of himself with two of his offensive linemen, and the caption reveals a lot about the current state of the Buccaneers.

"Football is hard. We're not playing like we are capable. We're in it together. We'll turn it around."
The legendary quarterback struggled in the loss, throwing for just 243 yards and a single touchdown against a poor secondary that was missing several starters.
The entire offense failed to generate much, with their lone touchdown coming late in the fourth quarter, having scored just four field goals to that point.
The loss drops the Buccaneers to 3-3, tied for first in the NFC South with the Atlanta Falcons, a team they narrowly defeated the week earlier.
Are Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in trouble?
Tom Brady has only missed the playoffs one time in his illustrious career and that was all the way back in 2002. He's never finished under .500 before, but both of those things could very well come true this year.
The Buccaneers are 3-3, and they're somewhat fortunate to have those three wins. They defeated the Dallas Cowboys in ugly fashion, as the Cowboys played horrible offensively and lost their quarterback.
There was a controversial call that helped the Buccaneers beat the Falcons last week. To be 3-3 isn't all that impressive, but they could be a lot worse.
Still, the odds are good for them to make it back to the playoffs. FiveThirtyEight gives them the following chances:
- 81% chance to make the playoffs
- 73% chance to win the division
- 4% chance to get a first-round bye
- 6% chance to win the Super Bowl
Those are fairly good chances, especially when considering that the Falcons, the Buccaneers' biggest threat at this point, only have a 35% chance to make the playoffs.
Still, if Brady and the Buccaneers suffer a few more of these inexplicable losses, their chances could take a serious hit. Right now, it's still early enough that it doesn't matter much.
