“Go get a big dog like Tom Brady” - NFL analyst urges Raiders to make big move to keep Davante Adams in Sin City

Davante Adams is likely to lose one of the main reasons he came to Las Vegas this offseason. With his long-time friend Derek Carr now potentially on the way out, it just got that much tougher of a sell for the wide receiver in the minds of pundits.

Speaking on Get Up, NFL analyst Damien Woody explained that the team needed to make a massive signing this offseason:

"You got to... try to go get a big dog like Tom Brady. At the end of the day, there's only like 10 good quarterbacks in this league. You think Davante Adams is going to stand for 'Oh, we're going to try to draft a rookie...' Davante Adams doesn't want to hear that. You're going to have to try to sell him on some type of other big name quarterback."

The Las Vegas Raiders are 6-9 and could not overcome their slow start to the season. At the start of Week 5, they were 1-4. In the middle of the season, they went on a 4-1 run, but it was not enough as they hit too many rough patches, including two three-game losing streaks.

How much would adding TB12 affect Davante Adams' chances of staying in Las Vegas?

Last offseason, Tom Brady spent six weeks away from the game as a retiree. However, he returned and loaded his schedule up with the Buccaneers. This offseason, many believe the quarterback has even more options. Amid a 7-8 run, many wouldn't be surprised if the team allowed the quarterback to walk.

Whether he walks into the FOX booth or into another team's open arms is anyone's guess. However, for the Raiders, who are turning a new leaf at the QB position, they have a big selling point for TB12.

After spending a few years away from The Patriot Way, the Raiders, under former Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels, have become another bastion of the philosophy not tied to New England.

Fans believe that if the quarterback wants to find a new team, the Raiders would be on that list. Will 2023 see No. 12 in silver and black?
