Despite playing on an injured ankle, Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes led his team to victory in Super Bowl LVII.

Many others, including Tom Brady, were inspired by Mahomes' performance against the Philadelphia Eagles. However, the seven-time Super Bowl champion was worried about the Chiefs when Mahomes re-aggravated his ankle injury in the first half of the game.

Here's what Tom Brady said on the "Let's Go!" podcast about the moment Patrick Mahomes got hurt in Super Bowl LVII:

"I thought the Chiefs were in deep trouble because their best playmaker, and one of the best quarterbacks in the game, injures himself trying to get out of the pocket. They're already losing, Philly is basically unstoppable on offense."

Brady added:

"They go into halftime and you worry if Patrick's able to come out and perform against the best pass rush in football. So that was a total flip of the script because I was like there's no way that Chiefs that have a chance."

The Kansas City Chiefs trailed the Philadelphia Eagles 24-14 at halftime but outscored them 24-11 in the second half to win their second Super Bowl in four years.

Tom Brady knows a thing or two about spectacular comeback wins in the Super Bowl. He was obviously pleased with how Patrick Mahomes played while injured against the Eagles.

In his excellent career so far, Patrick Mahomes was yet to play a flawless game in a Super Bowl. That is no longer the case, as the Chiefs quarterback was absolutely sensational in Super Bowl LVII.

He completed 21 of 27 passes for 182 yards and three touchdowns. He also rushed for 44 yards on six carries, which included a 26-yard rush that set up the game-winning field goal for the Chiefs.

He is now without a doubt the best quarterback in the league and may have cemented his spot among the top three quarterbacks in NFL history.

Mahomes is only 27 years old and already has the same number of Super Bowl wins as Peyton Manning. The sky is the limit for him, and he is the only player with a legitimate shot at matching Tom Brady's seven Super Bowl wins.
