During the previous NFL offseason, All-Pro wide receiver Tyreek Hill was traded from the Kansas City Chiefs to the Miami Dolphins in a blockbuster trade.

The Chiefs traded Hill to Miami in exchange for a 2022 first-round pick, a 2022 second-round pick, two fourth-round picks, and a 2023 sixth-round pick. Hill signed a big four-year, $120 million dollar deal with $72.2 million guaranteed.

The blockbuster trade was a surprise to many, and it was a tough decision for Hill to decide between Miami and the New York Jets.

Apparently, there was a third team involved that Hill was interested in joining. While signing autographs for fans on Saturday, Hill was approached by a Browns fan and the star WR made some revealing comments. According to Hill, he tried to be a Brown last season, but they didn't want him.

"They should’ve paid me, I tried to come to Cleveland. I tried but they didn’t want me.”

Tyreek Hill ultimately joined the Dolphins and not the Browns. It would have been hard for the Browns to acquire the wide receiver and pay him close to his current contract after the team had acquired Deshaun Watson. They got the latter for three first-round picks and paid him $230 million.

The Browns did show interest in the receiver market as they acquired Amari Cooper. They got him for a bargain, trading a fifth-round pick and a swap of sixth-round picks. Cooper ended up recording 78 catches for 1,160 yards and nine touchdowns.

He recorded a career-high 119 receptions and 1,710 receiving yards while scoring seven touchdowns. He was named a Pro Bowler and first-team All-Pro.

In his career, the 29-year-old has recorded 598 receptions for 8,340 yards and 63 touchdowns. He has also recorded 751 rushing yards and seven touchdowns. As a returner, he has 1,389 yards and five touchdowns.
