Amidst his offseason preparations for 2025, Jim Harbaugh appeared on Pat McAfee's show. Anthony 'Tone Digz' DiGuilio talked about how the Chargers have some of the biggest players in the league. He pointed out players with big builds like Najee Harris, Omarion Hampton and Joe Alt, to name a few.

DiGuilio asked Jim Harbaugh about his game plan with the Chargers after assembling 'the biggest team in the NFL.'

"We started visioning what the right side of the line would look like, you know, if we had Joe Alt there and added Mekhi back then, and I mean, it looks great... I think we're going to be a right-handed team," Harbaugh said.

The Chargers made a few solid acquisitions this offseason. They brought in Najee Harris and also signed free agents Donte Jackson and Benjamin St-Juste. They also signed TE Tyler Conkin while improving the trenches by signing Andre James and Mekhi Beckton.

The Chargers also drafted running back Omarion Hampton in the first round of the 2025 NFL draft. He is expected to become a key player on the roster for his rookie campaign.

Jim Harbaugh shares his thoughts on going against his former quarterback J.J. McCarthy

Harbaugh won the natty at Michigan with J.J. McCarthy as his quarterback. He ended up being drafted by the Minnesota Vikings. However, McCarthy did not make any appearances last year because of a season-ending injury.

Now, J.J. McCarthy is set to take over as the starting quarterback of the Vikings. They will face the Chargers in the preseason before a regular-season showdown in October.

In February, Jim Harbaugh shared his thoughts on facing McCarthy and his team on the gridiron.

"J.J. has attacked his rehab this entire last six, seven months, and I can guarantee the Vikings fans that he is up and at it ready today, attacking the day with an enthusiasm unknown to mankind," Harbaugh said. "I love him. I'm not gonna love playing against him, we play the Vikings this year." (TS- 8:42)

There are a lot of expectations for McCarthy as he gears up for his official NFL debut this year. The Chargers, on the other hand, have pro bowler Justin Herbert as their QB1. He had a decent campaign under Harbaugh last year, recording 3,870 yards and 23 TDs passing.
