A lot has been said about the performance of the team and Brady in the ongoing campaign. The Bucs were considered Super Bowl contenders before the season started, but after a slow start, many have written them off.

The team has suffered injuries, have seen key players such as Rob Gronkowski leave, and gone through a change of head coach.

On Get Up, Mike Greenberg spoke about former head coach Bruce Arians' recent comments on Tom Brady that he made on Joebucsfan.com.

"And a lot of us believe and then I found these comments really interesting. Bruce Arians, talking to a Buccaneers blog. And his take on the season. He said."

Here are the comments Arians made about Brady playing badly earlier in the season:

"I'm really optimistic about the rest of the season. First off, we're getting healthy. Tom smiled at practice last week, for the first time this season. He's going to be fine."

"Nobody is going to say that Brady was playing bad, but he was playing bad."

Greenberg responded to Arians' comments and thinks it's a good thing that Arians called out Brady:

"I thought that was it, just worth, I don't even know exactly what to make of it. But when you hear Bruce Arians say, 'Hey, no one else is gonna say it, but I'm gonna say it, Brady was playing bad. And now he looks better'. And, you know, again, we all understand the announcement they made a couple of weeks ago. Maybe that removes a little bit of pressure from, I don't know, what it is, one way or another. What are you seeing right now?"

He had been the Buccaneers' head coach for the last three seasons since taking over in 2019. A year after taking over the team, he landed Tom Brady in free agency. In their first season together, they won Super Bowl LV and then had a 13-4 record last season.

In his career, Arians is 86-51-1 and has won Coach of the Year twice in his career.

The Bucs are currently 5-5 with Todd Bowles as their head coach this season. But Bowles has faced many different challenges compared to Arians when he was coaching.
